Our '12 BMW X5 35D had a parking brake error which required replacement of the entire system. We had just replaced the DPF and upon hearing that an OEM parking brake module was north of $1000 I figured there was no way we were going to pay that much. We decided to just take a chance on this much cheaper aftermarket option. I finally installed it myself in a couple hours and it fit great, no issues with install. It works as it should and the car recognizes the part without a problem. It actuates and released just as it should. Glad we could save a ton of money going this route.
