Triangular Inserts: Thrice was it offered, and thrice efficiently worked.
The triangle TCMT Turning Inserts are for STAC, STEC, STNC, and STUC holders. They can also work with round shank 90° indexable boring bars. So they are intended for turning and boring applications.
TiN-coated inserts work longer and are able to run at faster speeds than uncoated inserts.
The positive-rake feature enables the inserts to have an edge that is less than 90° to sit flat in the insert holder for improved cutting clearance and a better finish than negative-rake ones. The inserts have cutting edges on 1 side.

When a cutting edge becomes dull, you just need to rotate the insert in the holder to use the sharp edge. When you buy the replacement inserts, be noted that the larger nose angles and larger tip radius enable a stronger cutting edge, but they result in increased vibration and a rougher finish.
Each of the boring bars comes with a Tin-coated carbide TCMT insert installed. The entire set also comes with additional 20 TiN-coated carbide TCMT inserts: 10 TCMT 21.5 inserts and 10 TCMT 32.5 inserts. Should you need more replacements of the inserts, view the following inserts.

Torx Screws and Torx Wrenches
The boring bar set comes with 2 Torx wrenches and 4 Torx screws. Together with the additional inserts, this set has significantly longer tool life.
Additional 20 Carbide TiN coated TCMT Inserts
The set comes with additional 10 TCMT21.5 and 10 TCMT32.5 carbide TiN coated inserts. With C6 grade, they can be used for machining steel, stainless steel, tool steel and steel alloy.
