Seems to have worked but it's still a little sloppy. Time will tell if it stays on there.

Used on a 2005 Yukon Denali. Silly that a small plastic bushing is the difference between a functional or non-functional shift cable. Very easy fix though - verified that the old bushing had failed, used a pick to remove the old one. This replacement is tapered, so it snaps into place easily and is a perfect fit. fit well onto the transmission shift connection. Total time to replace of about 2 minutes, aside from jacking up the vehicle.Had I had the vehicle towed to a dealer, they would have wanted to replace the whole shift cable since GM does not make an OEM replacement for the bushing as far as I can tell. A cable is at least $150 plus the labor cost of pulling the old one and installing the new - would likely be well over $400. So even though the cost seems high for three little pieces of plastic, it is well worth it.Would buy again for sure. Hopefully this lasts as long as the original.

The plastic tool is junk. Just use your picket knife to cut the ole one out. A little wd40 and push the new one in with your thumb. Cant understand why people have trouble. Took about 30 seconds.

Used this to repair my shift cable in my f250. Instructions are not included but a simple visual inspection of the shift cable end and bushings provided is self explanatory. The fit of the bushing onto the transmission lever isn’t as tight as the factory cable but it stays on without issues.

Not sure where this small bushing goes. The bushing underneath my shifter broke, not underneath the hood but inside the cab of my car. This did not fit my 2008 Dodge Avenger 2.4L 4 speed AT.
