Designed for portability, these rugged yet lightweight classifier screens are stackable, and fit over most standard gold pans, helping you quickly separate fine paydirt from rocks and other unwanted debris.

Utilizing ASR Outdoor classifier screens is one of the first and most important steps in successful gold panning or sluicing; by reducing collected material into a manageable size for gold panning that focuses on smaller, more productive gold bearing sediment. Although gold is heavy, small flakes will not be able to displace larger rocks from your initial working raw material deposit; screening or classifying material into groups based on size will ensure that any gold, whether nugget, flour or flake, will not get lost.

These classifier screens are made of tough, high impact plastic and 304 stainless steel wire mesh. The compact size makes the sifting screens ideal for backpacking to remote creeks or rivers, while the assorted mesh sizes ensure maximum gold recovery by helping you get down to only the smallest, most promising material where gold is most likely hiding.

Available in eight different sizes, for both fine and coarse material classification, you can piece meal your own set together as desired, or choose from 3pc, 6pc or 8pc sets.

I'll start by saying that it does work. But... there are some flaws. The worst flaw is that the three tend to really stick together when you're done shaking them. I honestly thought they weren't going to separate after I used them for the first time. I think this is a good buy if you want to test out different sifters.

They are sturdy down to the 50 and 60 mesh. Those two feel like they needed a cross brace as the mesh is so thin. Shaking with one hand, you can hear the mesh popping up and down from the deforming of the ring.Overall, happy with the price and functionality. This will certainly help with my panning issues.

They were smaller than I thought but it doesn't detract from the job it performs. Has a very fine screen that I will probably never use but you never know. It will work well with my sand blaster as well as my sluice/pans.

I bought the 10 squares per square inch and the 20 squares per square inch. As you can see in my photos, the number of holes is per linear inch, not square inch. The description therefore is misleading.
