This thing sounds fantastic. The ability to use and load your own presets makes it so useful. You can also purchase sound packs online or just make your own and save them. It’s extremely versatile too, I got it for 80s synth sounds but it does way more than that. I get great basses and more out of it. Much better than expected. Behringer has become my go to for music gear, I love that they are bringing back all these classics at an affordable price. 10/10

The greatest clone of all time is the Roland TR-08. Their own clone of the TR-808. I can literally A/B it with the Behringer RD8 and it sounds identical. They'd share the title but Roland's is simply better, and they made the original. It doesn't matter that one uses real analog circuits, and one uses ACB technology. For recording, they are identical. One just takes up a lot less space and has the colors on the buttons in the right order. The Third greatest clone of all time is the Behringer Pro-800 (yes I skipped the second. There's a reason). It's another situation where folks have A/B tested it against the Prophet 600 and people can not differentiate when they close their eyes (assuming the Prophet 600 has the GliGli chip upgrade). I could have the real thing. I made the choice to get another one of these when I needed a second polysynth. No brainer. Nobody else MAKES a polysynth this good in this form factor. Not even Behringer themselves. I wish they'd do a "UB-800" Oberheim tribute. Hint hint. People have trashed Behringer for this clone. I could care less. It simply fills a need and fits the space I have. And the main reason is because...The second greatest clone of all time is the Sequential Trigon-6. Yeah. Sequential, Dave Smith himself, cloned a synth. Just like Behringer. It's a Moog Memoryman, but with a ton of added features and modernization. It's simply the best analog synth on the planet right now for sound design. But it's just a clone. Just like.... the Pro-800.This is my second Pro-800. The first one, I could never get the firmware to update. I got rid of it. This one works fine. It's great with a fuzz pedal, a good delay, and the Juno 60 chorus from TC Electronics. It would have been nice if it had a little delay or chorus built in, but getting to choose them yourself means you can get REALLY good ones. Or just test cheap ones until you find one that sounds great. The 108 and rangemaster family of fuzz pedals (like my Au) work the best and play nicer with delay and chorus. Any small fuzz pedal with limited knobs is probably one. There are some amazing value synths. I'm not sure if this is the best one, but it's close. If I taught synthesis at a school, I'd have eight of these (and eight Wasps).

Nice form factor, 2 more voices that the Prophet 600, and a faster CPU too! They did it right to improve upon the original and made it affordable, and takes up only as much space as needed so you have room for more Behringer gear!

Just awesome. Also turns out by SH101 clone (monophonic) is polyphonic with a module like this.Best sounds are however with oscillators combined. Then you end up back at monophonic.

It has a ton of patches out of the box. Lots of opportunities to make cool music with this one. The ability to save patches make this synth a really good option in terms of features for price.

This is, quite simply, a fantastic sounding synthesizer. Never mind the price, and don't let those retro-style membrane buttons put you off...this synth sounds wonderful. And the sound is what matters...right? Maybe one of Behringer's best clones. A bargain. Five stars!

The factory presets are lame so I recommend loading in the Pro-800 Ultimate Patches to get the most out of this synth.
