Wash machine in our garage- a washer 'failed' (I'm not the DIYer in our home :) and water shot up and out filling the surge protector, among other items, with water within minutes. Hubby heard it happen and turned water and power off, and after hours of cleanup reconnected freezer to alternate power, reset, and it started running. Freezer has a safety shut off, but with that much water, we were shocked, no pun intended, that the capacitor wasn't blown. I purchased a few of this particular model Belkin and a more elaborate version from Belkin for our home theater system. Have trusted Belkin products for almost 20 years and back for a replacement for the freezer because the peace of mind is worth every penny. Thank you to the real electricians who left reviews about joules, etc. so I could find best surge protectors for our needs.

This is one of the best surge protectors I have purchased due to the fact that it has widely spaced plugs. Since it is used for multiple video game systems which have larger AC adapter power plugs, most of the other surge protectors have difficulty holding them all and I have to unplug one to use another. The Belkin protector has a nice wide body design that allows me to plug multiple plugs at one time so it doesn't require me to switch them out. As a bonus too, the protector has an 8ft cord so you aren't just limited to keeping everything near one outlet in the room.

This 8outlet medal has a nice heavy 8 foot cord with angled flush mount receptacle, the body is very clean and low profile, and the switch is where it should be, in the back so you don’t accidentally shut it off.Best power bar for the money hands down.

Choosing the right surge protector for your electronics is crucial not only to protect your investment but to extend its lifespan. Particularly home theatres, computers. Such devices are more vulnerable to power surges, as they have more complex + sensitive components and circuitry.I love the minimalist 8 outlet design + 3550 joules of added protection in the discrete gray.It is built of quality materials + convenient on and off switch.A great addition to my home theatre system.

Estoy muy contento con este multicontacto ya que buscaba un producto que fuera elegante, tuviera apagador, espacios para eliminadores anchos y un cable de alimentación largo. En las fotos muestra no se ve el apagador pero decidí arriesgarme y no me decepcionó, cumple con todo lo que buscaba. El material se siente de muy buena calidad y como dato extra, les cuento que los contactos tienen un seguro de plástico para taparlo, como medida de protección para niños supongo. El cable es de uso rudo y el único detalle que le encontré es que la clavija es redonda y en diagonal, por lo que puede quedar un poco ancho en algunos contactos y evitar que quepa el de junto, pero a excepción de eso es perfecto y hermoso.
