These work great for my little yard and the one battery lasts me a good 1/2 hour or more using both the sweeper and the trimmer. The sweeper isn't powerful enough to use as a leaf blower but does a decent job clearing grass and loose dirt from driveways and sidewalks.

This combo is fine for small lawns. My grandson lives in a townhouse and the duo work great for the small lawns. Blower is not powerful, but works great for lawn cleanup.

First, I'm just a customer, and am not being paid for my review.I was looking for an inexpensive option for a string trimmer, after my gas trimmer died after one season of use. Didn't want to put a lot of money into a trimmer, but wanted something that would hopefully be reliable and last for a few seasons.Purchased this B&D Combo Set on Black Friday. Items appeared to be well packaged. Battery had life out of the box, but didn't show any bars on the charge indicator. Charged the battery with no issues. Charge indicator showed three bars (100%) after charge.Blower seemed to work fine, and appears to work great for blowing grass and debris off of sidewalks and driveways. I even attempted to blow leaves off of the lawn, and the blower worked better than expected; not perfect, but I expected worse based upon the reviews. Initially, used for around five minutes; charge indicator after use still showed three bars.Handle and grass guard assembly for the trimmer was simple and fast. Used for roughly five minutes and appeared to work fine. My only issue, was that I would have liked the trimmer to be slightly longer for me I'm of average height). I had the trimmer fully extended, and still found that using the item was slightly awkward. I have approximately 1/3 of an acre, so it will be fine for the 15 to 20 minutes session that I have to use it. Battery still showed three bars after use (of both items).For now, I'd recommend the B&D string trimmer and blower combo set as an inexpensive option for a small yard. I will consider purchasing a second battery at some point in the future, but for now, I'm looking for a trimmer that will get me through the next two to three years. I can't give these five stars after using both for such a short time, but I've got nothing bad to say about either.

I’ve been a long-time user of the B&D and needed a replacement after my old trimmer died. I did a lot of searching and decided to give this combo a try.The 40v is a nice upgrade from my old 20v, especially for the trimmer.The trimmer is easy to useI’m glad they did away with the old feature of having 2 settings (normal or more powerful) since we would always keep it in the power setting. I do miss the wheel on the bottom to guide when I’m trimming along the sidewalks and driveway. But it’s not a big deal. For some reason the metal guide is not my favorite.The blower is just fine. It’s not super powerful, but it’s perfect for my needs of blowing grass off the driveway and sidewalks after I mow. If you’re looking for something to blow a lot of leaves off your lawn, this probably isn’t the right choice for you.All in all we are thrilled with this combo and the powerful, long lasting battery.

I have had this string trimmer for a few months and have found it to be very effective and useful for me. I am in my 60's and have tried gas powered and electric cord type string trimmers. I bought an extra battery for a backup but have found I really do not need it. The battery often outlasts me. It is light and easy to use. I have a large backyard which has a wooden fence. I am now easily able to maintain it and the other parts of the yard. I do not have to fight to start it (like my gas one) nor have to drag a long electric cord. The blower is small but effective for my pavers and driveway. It is not as big as the other ones, but it will finish it. I am very happy with how light weight they are. So, for me, these two were a perfect fit for me.I do not often submit reviews, but thought I would do so as these have really helped me "tame" my backyard.
