I like these cables because the ends are fitted with metal clips that hold them firmly in the slots on the motherboard and the hard drive. The ones I replaced did not seat firmly and I did not realize it until one of my drives did not show up in the device list. It took a while to discover that was the reason my drive was not showing up and once I realized it, I ordered these, and they filled the bill nicely and at a very reasonable price and with overnight delivery.

Found these cable creations 8" SATA cables tp be the perfect sized for my applications as it seems every other cable listed on Amazon were at least 18" long. Since I had no need to connect devices located in a different Zip code these came in handy as it makes cable management look far more professional!

These do the job. I’m glad they come in packs of two as when you need these, it’s often more than one. These are short cables and so be careful with your build as these may not accommodate the distances of more spacious enclosures. The price is right and these cables did not fail and installed as I expected. I like the red color as I can easily identify them in the future inside of the enclosure without having to run my fingers along a bunch of wires to trace things. These help with good cable management. Will buy again.

I enjoy having snap in connectors whenever possible, it eliminates troubleshooting later. When you're dealing with motherboard wiring, power cabling, lighting and controller wires, the last thing you want to do is have to spend hours and more times days, trying to troubleshoot errors you may have made in a build. These are just a small but valuable sense of security to know when you hear that "click" you know they're seated properly. I still use small laptop size HDD's and box type SSD's for storage on the other side of the case and these are a necessity!
