Feels comfortable and secure on my shoulder. I see a lot of people saying it’s too big, but I’m 5’7” and 133 lbs., and it feels fine to me.

This is a pretty well made shoulder pad, but I do wish that it had more 1/4 20 threads on it to be able to add counter weights without needing longer rods.

I had tried the small rig one and felt it was just a little too small but great for those "lighter" days also for those days when my rig wasn't glued to my shoulder and I need to be more mobile and versatile, this one from Camvate fits my shoulder better and I like using this one when my rig is fully setup and I need that little extra support and it's on my shoulder for all my handheld shots.

Storytime:I originally purchased a shoulder rig pad by Small Rig because of the description stating that it had "memory foam", well apparently it lost its memory because it was like putting cardboard on your shoulder and it was $40-$50 more than this CAMVATE version. Anyways, I sent that back and thought I'd give this a try and I was very pleased. It's soft, rest nicely right on your shoulder and actually taking some of the pressure off of you. Great product! I'm very glad I gave this a try!I highly recommend this version over any other!

Top of the shoulder pad essentially a cheese plate, so you can add other threaded accessories depending on rail length and mount location. Padding attached securely to plate, which was concern with another similarly priced item. The pad itself is a little narrow, and not contoured to match the slope from neck to shoulder. Wish the pad was a little wider, had sloped thickness across the width, and was made with a better quality foam. Overall, for the price, it really is a nice little piece of gear. If you’e trying to Frankenstein a shoulder rig together, this will certainly come is handy.

This is a good shoulder piece for the price. In hindsight I would have bought the one with mounting holes on the back angle piece but I made this one work. The only suggestion I would have is that it could be a bit wider. The padding is pretty good but it is kinda "tall" and tends to rock a little but. I added some memory foam to smooth that out.
