I bought two of these downriggers and they work great! The depth meter seems to be right on and easy to reset when needed. I can have four people fishing on my boat, two using the downriggers and two with weighted lines puts everyone far enough apart to avoid tangled lines.I thought that I’d miss with the crank handles verses the electric, but the return speed is so fast that it might take 10-15 seconds to get to the surface, even when trolling in fairly deep water.

This has got to be the best and easiest to use manual Downrigger on the market. Accurate counter and retrieves quickly. I use it on a 22’ pontoon and although I suck at fishing, it certainly is not the fault of this rig!

These are manual downriggers but super easy to use! We decided against electric ones that would be another draw on our batteries; I’m so happy we did! We ordered 2, one was missing the crank handle & Cannon customer service was 5 star! Within a week, they sent us a replacement. We did did need to purchase the rotating plates they mount to.If you’re like us, we like to spend our time fishing, not wasting time on electronics-buy these!

This downrigger wasn't well thought thru. If u let the cable loose at all it will jump the pulley and wrap around the shaft. U will have to cut your end off and try unraveling it or start cutting.... The cable end is a plastic joke that I would never trust with a 6 lb. weight. If you use it plan on buying another weight when it fails. Don't buy this cheap piece of junk. You can always tell when the engineer never used their own product, and this is one of them. Sorry keep searching..

I like the way the swivel base works. I fish for many types of fish and the ease of taking it on and off works great.

The downrigger works well, the only thing I would prefer, is to have the line counter on the end of the boom, I believe it would be more accurate.

Downrigger works great. A+. Works well on small 14’ in Fingerlakes and Ontario for kings, browns,Atlantics, lakers, rainbows. Go with swivel mount and cable retrieve.

This is a quality piece of equipment that so far has performed flawlessly. I have only used them 3-4 times but I would repurchase them again today ifI needed more. Pretty simple to put together and use and if I say that it must be true because my brain is not wired to understand anything mechanical.
