This stand lasted about 1 year for me until one of the legs broke off. I liked it at first because of the portability and light weight design but soon it became clear that the stand wasn’t very stable because there was nothing to help with friction on it. It is worth it to spend a couple of extra dollars rather than risk a dent in your flute.

Used this stand for a couple of weeks now. Was hesitant at first because of some of the other reviews. But I like it and trust it. My flute is not a cheap one that's why I was hesitant. But I bought it and used it in church. Yes it is metal and plastic...But as long as you are gentle and don't tighten the screw down too hard it will last and work perfectly. It's sturdy, safe and well put together. If this changes I will repost.Update..Still using this little stand. Still sturdy and holding my flute just as it did when i purchased it. Its now Feb.2022.

Metal legs on a plastic base. Dangerous and almost ruined my flute. Worked ok for about 5 months or so but the plastic threads on the upright on the base stripped with minimal tightening. This made it impossible tighten upright onto base thereby causing the flute to tip over. A $10 stand al out ruined a $ 2500 instrument. I am reluctant to get another such unit even from a different company because this may happen again. A good idea with a bad product. Metal pieces ought to be attached to metal, not to cheap plastic pieces

It's perfect! I got this along with a flute for my nephew so that he'd have a place for it while taking a break instead of just putting it down somewhere, where it can be damaged. It fits in his flute case perfectly!

Nice and solidly heavy, well-made, durable flute stand. It's a bargain at this price. And it fits easily inside the outer pocket on the flute case. My wife likes this stand.
