Test your spa water frequently to maintain a pH balance of 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity of 80-125ppm for plaster spas and 125-150 for vinyl or fiberglass spa. When fresh water that is occasionally added to your spa, it may contain some level of dissolved minerals and metals. The constant heat, evaporation and circulation in the tub can cause those elements to solidify and form scale or stains on surfaces. Great price for a well-known brand. This stain/scale remover actually does a great job and doesn't leave any residue in the water. Very easy to use with no scrubbing except in a very few spots where I had some heft scale buildup. This is definitely a good product if you are looking for an easy clean-up solution.

Easy to use. Clear directions on the label. It doesn't leave any residue and effectively fights small stains. My spa is in a good condition so I haven't really dealt with major spots or stains, but this product makes my spa looks dazzling.Good price and good results.

My pool had a really bad white ring all over the side of the rock that had been there for a long time. I poured the entire bottle of this in my pool while the pump was running. I tried to use a pool brush to get some of the pool water onto the white areas but it was pretty difficult to do that from outside of the water so I gave up on that. The next morning I checked on the pool and the entire white ring was gone! I couldn’t believe it since it didn’t take any elbow grease or scrubbing! I’m hoping it continues to prevent the white ring from coming back again!

When we got this my wife had just descaled the hot tub, and it took a while for us to realize that this was intended to both remove them and keep them off. Finally, she used it. It really seems to be working at keeping them at bay in the tub. It's easy to use, with very clear and specific directions for how to mix, use, and handle your spa after. This says to use 1 oz. per 300 gallons of water in your tub. Ours holds around 500, so it's at least 16 uses per bottle for us, less than a buck a throw, so not too bad there, either.

The product states to apply an amount in oz. but also contains a conversion chart if using tablespoons. It would be preferred to state the measurement in measurable units. There was no apparent odor. My hot tub is not visibly stained or scaled, so I cannot fully evaluate its effectiveness, but I did not notice any adverse effects.
