Our sockets also have the unique feature of a provision to hold our degree wheels or any wheel with a 1 inch or larger center hole. The knurled retaining nut actually sandwiches the degree wheel and holds it in place. This can then be loosened while on the crank snout so that you can turn the degree wheel independent of the engine, which is really handy when finding TDC.

This tool saved my butt when I accidentally moved my crank with the timing chain off. This tool allowed me to move it back to exactly where it was supposed to be. I got back to too dead center and my truck started up and idled perfect on the first try.

Nice tool. A little on the expensive side but, when you need it you you gotta get it.

The product is superb. Well machined, makes setting the degree wheel and turning the crank a breeze, EVEN WITH ENGINE IN THE CAR. You can ONLY be sure your cam is installed right if you degree it, and this tool greatly expedites that process. All the better if the engine is on a stand being assembled. Solid steel, good craftsmanship, locking wheel secures your degree wheel like zeroing the dial on a lathe. Very nice fit on the crank, well secured with the set screw. The only area I see for improvement is in the MARKETING- 1) why not mention that it fits the '65-'90 Oldsmobile V8's as well? 2) Please point out that the degree wheel hole must be 1.00" to fit on this tool. Easy enough to modify the degree wheel normally... but why not go ahead and mention that critical measurement along with all the other not so important measurements like overall size...
