I have used these anti-siphon ballcocks for years. The first Danco on this order is quiet and works silently. The second one has an annoying “chirping” sound when it shuts down. Kinda like “squeals like a pig” … some say it will stop in time. Hope so … didn’t order “Tommy the talking toilet”!😆🤣

Began using this type toilet valve many years ago. Easy to install, remove/replace, adjust. Virtually maintenance free (we have obvious challenges with hard water) but a great valve. Danco is my preferred brand but all of this type valve appears identical. This is the only type valve I purchase.

I've been using this style of flush valve for almost 20 years in my house. This time, when I needed to change a valve, I couldn't locate the brand I'd been using so I got these Danco valves.I've replaced the valves in our toilets and on each, the valve flushes well but, even new, lets out a small squawk on flushing and shut off. Over about a month this develops into a high pitched squeal that lasts for about 5-10 seconds and is loud enough to be heard all over the house.I'll go back to a standard fill valve before I use another Danco.

I've been using these toilet fill valves for years. Love the design.Only problem, all of my local retailers quit selling them! Too bad for them because now AMAZON gets my business. This valve is better than the old float type and works perfect.

Tira agua y hace un ruido largo para cuando según está cortando el agua, si te esperas después de bajarle verás que no corta del todo. Es un desperdicio de agua.

Seems to fill quickly and perform "OK" for the first few months. but ... mine started having issues shortly after the honeymoon period, would fill way too slow, then had final issue with it not shutting off at all, and wasted lots of water $$$. Attempted to contact manufacturer but could not get a response. DO NOT BUY.

Bought this exact model from W*mart because it's significantly cheaper there. (I clicked the link here to report a lower price so hopefully Amazon will match the price... you may want to report it too in case it takes several people to trigger the adjustment). Anyway, this works BUT not as well as this type of fill valve used to work 20+ years ago when they were of higher quality. You can find this sold under many different brand names now but if you read through all the reviews you'll find 2 common complaints:1) Makes a squealing noise as it shuts off. This is definitely a thing with the newer models, although the older/better ones did not. It's probably not a big deal unless the toilet is near enough to a light sleeper to wake them up. The squeal is fairly loud if you have good water pressure. I'm guessing the lower your water pressure the less loud it might be. Also, be aware that the squeal occurs when the tank is approximately 85% full as the valve drastically reduces the amount of water filling into the tank but doesn't completely stop it. It will then slowly continue to fill the remainder until it reaches the shutoff point over the course of another 10-20 minutes. So, when you install it, don't think it has stopped filling when you hear the squeal. You must wait and check the level later. This also means if you have a toilet that doesn't do a good job at completely flushing on the first try and you sometimes need to flush twice, this is NOT the valve for you since it will only quickly fill tank back up to 85% and you'll need to wait for a full tank.2) Valve fails within a short period of time. Again, I think this comes down to cost cutting and lower quality compared to older models. If you're buying this based on prior experience from 20+ years ago, do not assume they are still as good.On the other hand, the positives are that it's obviously a much smaller form factor and easy to fit into smaller toilet tanks. And if you're fed up with the design of Fluidmaster-style fill valves and routinely having to replace their seals then here's an alternative that will never require seal replacements. Will you get lucky and receive one which doesn't fail within less than a year or annoy you with it's squealing? Who knows??? However, I can say that Danco stands behind their products and their warranty department has been easy to work with in my experience.
