I purchased two of these as ceramic valve and seat upgrade alternative to RP25513 for my 20 plus year old Delta two handle sink with the original cartridges. The RP8230s were offered at a good price. The seats on the old cartridges had started to leak through and drip. After struggling to remove the handles which had frozen on the stem, removal of the bonnet nuts, cartridges and old rubber seats and springs went without a hitch. I cleaned everything up and got ready to install the RP8230 and saw that the blister pack on one package was damaged or had been tampered with and the seat spring was missing from its pocket in the blister pack. Unfortunately the spring configuration for the ceramic seat is different than the one for the rubber seated 25513 and could not be reused. I started a return for "missing or damaged parts". Reordering these had a two week lead time (with the bathroom sink OOC for that length of time), so I canceled the return and ordered the separate ceramic seats and springs from Amazon with 2 day delivery. Even adding that expense, it still represents a good value, and I will have one spare seat and spring. When the seats arrive I will be able to finish the job. Lesson learned: Inspect the packaging carefully before starting the job. Both packages I received showed "shelf wear", and that should have been a clue to inspect. The RP8230 I installed fits, operates, and seals perfectly like a Delta OEM product should.

It was such a relief to find this part. I did not want to replace the facet, because, as you know, then you have to replace both sinks, the shower, and the tub. Because they all match. I thankful to Delta for providing the replacement parts and Amazon for indexing their inventory so well so that I could easily find it. $30 and and I in great shape!

This kit came with all of the necessary parts and pieces which was very nice. You typically have to buy the stem and valve seat with spring separately at a hardware store so this worked out well. Very simple installation.

This is an OEM Delta part despite not being marked as such. These are a direct replacement for the "rubber cup" type and will convert an older faucet to ceramic valving! This is a screaming bargain @ The $11.75 ea price as the OEM ones with rubber seals cost more and don't last very long! Buy while you can folks!

I installed the other assembly that uses the rubber seal, and after a week, the seal would roll and get sliced on the assembly. I changed to the ceramic stem assembly, and everything has been leak free since.
