These are not top of the line scales, but are a whole lot better than the two previous digital scales I've had that died on me. At least they don't die on you.

I like the large numbers, they are easy to read. And I like the markers which allow me to mark my goal weight

Gave this scale to my 98 year olsd Mother. Her frail frame broke the plastic cover off the dial on her first time. Cheaply made; totally a rip off. It seems t be a bad copy of a good scale produced from a photograph b y someone that has never actually used a scale. On the good Detecto side: I have one in my bathroom that looks similar, feels substantial, has a protected dial and has functioned for well over 30 years, perfect, destruct-proof.

Some people complain that the scale is "off" and that you need to zero it every time you use it. In my experience, this is simply not true. During the first week, you do need to calibrate the scale, and you do need to weigh yourself a few times and zero it to do that. I was definitely not expecting that to be necessary. However, after a few weighs, the zero mark stabilizes, and the scale is remarkably accurate and precise. I am quite happy with my purchase, and I'd advise other reviewers to use their scale for a week or two more before coming to a decision. Given how sturdy the scale is, I'm sure the first week of calibration will be a small price to pay for the years of use this scale will likely provide.

J.M.J.Very happy with this purchase; it is just what I was looking for. Nowhere could I find in the description that this is a metal scale with a rubber foot pad. The foot pad is not large, barely fits a size 9.5 lady's foot, because the number dial is huge. The plus, it's easy to read; the minus, it's a small foot pad; the best, it's metal, does the job and seems built to last. The cover for the dial is plastic. Cheers!

This scale seems to be relatively accurate but needs to be zeroed every time you use it. It,s made in China. The foot pad area is too small for my size 10.5 feet. Don't step on the dial area because the plastic will crack ( I found this out the hard way).If your tired of digital scales that only last 1yr than this is not a bad option. I guess you would have to buy a professinal scale and pay about double to get something better
