It worked, with modification. The holes in the rubber rag joint didn’t line up with mating surface on my truck. I had to Waller out the holes in the rubber to make them work. It worked, steering on truck has way less slop in it. It seems to be hit or miss with people on this era of truck on fitment. Had to buy shorter screws to make job work as well. It’s a sucky job to start with. Haven’t seen anything else to use in its place though. LMC had one but didn’t get very good reviews either. All in all, if you have time and patience it will work.

Have a 1981 mercury Zephyr. It said it wouldn't work but went on just right with cutting out the old rivets right on the car....perfect with a little mod.

Great product. Did exactly what I needed. Unfortunately because its universal the instructions weren't useful so make sure to take a picture of your particular application before disassembly

This unit's arts were helpful, but the rubber disc was too large versus my old one, so I had to go to an Auto Parts store and match up the rubber disc to another kit and between the two, I got my truck back together again. Who would think getting the right part for a 1989 half ton Chevrolet pickup could be so hard?

Used to replace the torn coupling on my 1968 Ford F250. This was a direct replacement and took me about 45 minutes to remove the old one and install this new one. Two 1/2" crescent wrenches and a vice grip. The threads are little short for lock washers and nuts but you should really use the lock washers and with a little patience I got them all snug.
