Ditch the stock nozzles as soon as possible. These work great even though they aren’t super cheap.

I now have both size spouts large and small available for my 5 gallon gas can. Best of all they are both the old fashioned free flow spouts.

These replace pouring spouts for gas cans make filling lawn mowers and snow blowers much easier and less over pours when filling tanks with gas.I have four gas jugs, two five gallon and two, two and a half gallon, these spouts come with two sets of universal screw caps that fit most gas cans.They are sturdy making it more convenient to fiil tanks without messing with the new style spouts. I would recommend these

The instructions include installation for a cap strap, so the cap doesn't go missing every time you take it off. There's even a loop on the cap for a strap.But no cap strap in the package.I ordered two of these and neither of them have one.Also, the lid to the vent piece doesn't stay down.

I had two 5-gallon gas cans with sun-rotted spouts, and bought this product to replace the damaged spouts. I wasn’t able to tell whether I had an exact match, as the labels were destroyed on the cans, so I hoped that this product would fit. With the yellow collars I got a usable fit, though they don’t start easily, so I can use the cans. The product came with vents, since the old spouts had the vents incorporated. The instructions called for drilling a 1/2” hole with a step drill and snapping the vents in place. I really appreciated the encouragement to use a step drill, which I had to buy because I’d never had one. It worked beautifully, giving a perfectly round hole, and the vents fit nice and tight. Overall I’m pleased

I like filling my scooter tank at home instead of having to stop at the gas station and mess with helmet and gloves and the fume cover on the nozzle. Unfortunately, I hate most of the safety nozzles because my tank is in the floorboards and I always end up spilling with them. The one that came with my Midwest can had some kind of faulty seal and would leak out the sides of the cap while you were getting the nozzle into place. Actually created more of a safety issue than just a regular nozzle.I got one of these to see if I could make the can usable instead of buying a whole new one. It took less than a minute to install and then I was able to just uncap it and fill my bike easily. Absolutely a game changer. I'm not worried about anyone else having access to my gas can and I don't store gas in it super long term, so I don't really need the extra safety features, and I'm just not coordinated enough to actually get a benefit out of them. Should have replaced the nozzle years ago. I do kind of wish it had a sharper angle because the opening of my tank is parallel to the ground, but still worth it.I didn't install the vent and didn't have any trouble emptying a 2 gallon container into my gas tank. I probably won't install it, but having it included is a positive as are the extra rings for fit. The seal is great. I can hold a full tank upside down with the cap on and nothing leaks. I wouldn't recommend it, but if it gets knocked over when capped you're probably fine.

Great product. Fits as described in the product description . Includes both course and narrow threaded Collars and Gasket (no need to reuse your old gasket). As a bonus is the strainer inside the spout! Adding the vent was easy - follow the instructions on which drill type to use to get a Clean/Circular hole. You will want to drill the vent with the container empty to avoid particles dropping into your fuel. Product is leak proof and very secure.Minor negative - spout "cap" is a screw on design with sealing gasket - which is great!!, except it is easy to mistake it for a "push on" cap and you will wear the treads and reduce the Great seal it has if you push it on/ pull it off. If they could mold on a "screw on symbol" it would help... minor item - still worth 5 stars.

The only problem was that the supplied collars for attaching to the jug could not be used. The original one on the jug works best.
