Product Description

The Beamer® 2000 is a versatile trailing anchorage connector compatible with both foot-level or overhead tie-offs on structural steel I or H beams. It offers workers at height the freedom to traverse along or under beams without the need to reposition the anchor as work progresses. Durable bronze-manganese hooks allow smooth travel along the beam, and the oversized adjustment lever locks securely, yet is easily manipulated with gloved hands. At only 4 lb and requiring no tools, the Beamer 2000 can be installed in a snap.

From the Manufacturer

The Guardian Fall Protection "BEAMER 2000" is a fall arrest system designed specifically for use at your feet and overhead. Nylon bushings provide for smooth movement along the construction beam and act as an impact indicator in the event of a fall. This product is reusable and extremely durable with a ratcheting end piece that slides easily in both directions. The product is a precision machined aluminum bar which does not stick to aluminum bar. This product is designed for one handed operation. When used at foot level, a Guardian Fall Protection (01200) Heavy Duty Shock Absorbing Lanyard must be used.

Thank God we haven't had to rely on this in a fall, but I trust it.

I my opinion this the best Beamer for the money. The only thing it’s missing is the pivoting D ring.If you want a centering Beamer, step up to the“Beamer 3000”

Recently, I was working for Dilling Mechanical out of the SDI location in Pittsboro, IN. There, the safety measurements are somewhat strict. We had to tie off with a safety harness and beamer if we went four feet or higher off the ground. Unfortunately, Dilling Mechanical is tool poor (they had one Milwakee reciprocating saw for about 12-15 guys and two beamers for the same amount of guys). I knew that I could not afford to loose my job, so I bought this beamer. I used it for the entire job. Upon arrival of the Beamer 2000, I compared it to the ones Dilling Mechanical had. This one was of the same quality as the ones Dilling had, but much cheaper (lower priced). I believe that anyone who is serious about his/her job should have this beamer in his/her tool pouch. Now, I know that I don't ever have to worry about an employer proving me with this tool (a lot of them won't although they're supposed to). Now, I know that I don't have to worry about an employer firing me because I was not tied off a beamer when I was supposed to .

This worked perfectly for what I needed. We had some sketchy tie off points and kept getting yelled at by the safety supervisor, but with this we have tie off points anywhere. Definitely worth the money.
