This is a great clock to teach young kids how to read and understand analog clocks. Remove the battery, manually move the hour/minute, and play and practice reading the clock. After s/he is comfortable reading the clock, let the child have a turn setting the clock to specific times. Take turn and have fun!It's also the perfect clock for their bedroom because the second hand moves smoothly and quietly.The "quarter to", "quarter past", and "half past" is also a great way to relate how fractions can be incorporated into time units. We'll be introducing that at a later time after our child has mastered reading the clock on a regular basis. We'll also tackle the military time portion in the future. So awesome that there's so many learning features on this clock!

This is a clock I wanted for my classroom that is intended to help tell time. I like how it's divided up into fives, and even broken down into minutes. it's a silent and colorful clock that will be easy for kids to read. The only downfall is that the hour and minute hands are not labeled and if we know....that's half the battle. Only returning the clock because I need my clock to have those hands labeled.

Nice clock for children to learn to tell time. I got this for my 7yo daughter who is naturally growing up in a digital world. Since digital is just numbers on a screen it's difficult to relate the passage of time. With an analog clock kids can more easily relate the change in the position of the hands to the passage of time. I can't think of anything more that could be added to this clock to assist learning how to tell time. It has all the features shown in the listing and the colors are vibrant enough to catch the eye of children. My daughter is enjoying being able to figure out the time for herself rather than just repeat numbers on a screen. It's not perfect but for the price it's a good educational tool that serves it's purpose very well.

This clock is surprisingly sturdy and quality. It is vibrant and designed well. It takes just one AA battery and brings ease to learning how to tell time.

A nice wall clock with many features to help teach people to read a clock.I got this to help my kid learn to read analogue clocks, and improve their timekeeping skills in general. It has sparked good conversations so far and I think will continue to be useful. Even after the kid is comfortable reading clocks, I think it will be a nice colorful wall clock with a fun vibe.As far as clocks go, it works fine as a clock. It's a standard 3-hand clock module that takes one battery.The printing and markings are all very clear. The colors are well chosen. It has both 12 and 24 hour markings, the hour and minute hand are labeled, and it shows both the precise time with clear markings, and colloquial time such as "half past" so you can learn both formal and informal time telling.
