These were great for adapting my outside lights to tack plugs for Christmas inflatables. The pull chain allowed me to extinguish porch light and only have inflatables illuminated from within.

I needed this for powering my CPAP (The Good:Light switch pull was smooth to operate, and the screw base was securely attached. After reading some reviews I made sure to tug on it to make sure the screw base would not separate when pulled downward. The dual plugs are nice if you need more than one temporary power cord attached.Great value for the price and a two-pack.The Bad:Nothing bad to report!Other Comments:Yes, of course the ground terminal of the outlets is not connected. This is simply because a standard light socket only has two terminals! The small center electrode terminal is hot (I.e. 120VAC) while the larger metal screw socket is neutral. There is no “ground” in a light bulb socket. The metal electrical box should be grounded, but there is no allowance in a standard light socket to provide a third terminal that is ground. The neutral is bonded to ground at the main electrical panel that supplies power to the circuit. But in the case of using this temporary bulb socket power adapter, you have to be mindful there is no true ground terminal. And this is not an issue for the cellphone chargers or my two terminal plug for my Resmed CPAP power pack.

The pool chain part of this outlet, is strong and secure. However, the metal piece that actually attaches to the plastic casing. It's really cheap aluminum, and it wasn't even glued on the thing ripped apart. The first time I pulled on the chain. I would not recommend buying this.

My husband loves to hang up the lights in front of our apartment begining at Halloween and there are no plug ins outside .We do have a porch light so he uses this gadget which gives him two plug ins ,which then gives him enough to connect the lights that he wants out . We had to buy them again this year because our last set was out away in a galexy far far away and this was a good price and it came as a two pack . Hopefuly he will leave them up outside so that they are there for him next year ,but if we have to buy again I will reorder this same brand its a very nice quality and a good price too .

It’s a very simple, basic product that just makes life easier. There may be others available on Amazon that will accept a three pronged grounding wire, but this is the only one I could find.They come in a 2 pack and are very sturdy. In the past I’ve had problems with the pull chain pulling off quite easily, but this is a rugged product.
