This module came to use pre-programmed with a VIN, it will not work at all, used unit and its not reprogrammable

I bought this EPB for my 2006 LR3 and what a waste of money. After sitting in the garabe for a couple of months I finally tried to have it installed by a professional Land Rover mechanic. The moment it was hooked to my car the car started acting up, hazard lights flickering, engine failure dashboard message, brakes lock, and the engine won't start no matter what. The moment the old EPB is hooked the car starts and everything is back to normal. Tried to remove the motherboard from the old EPB and put it inside the new one. They do not look the same at all and connectors won't fit. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DISCO3 DON'T BUY THIS JUNK.

The part did not function or communicate with the vehicle. I ordered another thinking it was an isolated incident and spent a considerable amount of time testing the parking brake system and CAN network ( no CAN communication ) I received another from the same supplier that had the same problem. ( Btw , we are a Land Rover repair shop and have installed many of these previously without issue ) I then purchased an OEM part from the dealer and installed it without problem. I was able to get credit for the second part but the initial purchase was now outside the return window. I contacted the supplier with this information but they would not make it right. - Very disappointing and frustrating experience.
