It doesn't fit over the paint can. No matter how I tried it will not go over the top.

Okay I give it four. It was tough for me to get it on but it function does it should. Maybe after I use it a few more times it'll stretch out maybe just enough that I can get it completely on but it did not leak , that made me happy camper.

Great idea. But be aware this lid will not fit the newer plastic paint cans.

Good luck getting them to on a 1 gallon paint can! Doesn't even come close to fitting! Do not buy these! Waste of money!

I purchased the pour spout for gallon cans. I am working on a big home reno and have cans of primer, and multiply colors out each day. I already had a version of this from Shur-Line and wanted a few more so I didn’t have to keep switching it out and washing it every time.This product does help with pouring and preventing messy pours. However, due to its design it does leave a lot of excess paint in groove that the lid secures too. This isn’t a huge deal when you plan to use an entire can without sealing it between paint sessions but hammering a lid back in this leaves for a messy situation trying to clean all the paint out of the groove.I plan to buy again, and would recommend, the Shur-line version of this product. It creates a seal around the outer and inner part of the can preventing any paint from getting into the groove for the lid. Thus making it more suitable for the times when you may be preserving a a portion of the gallon for another time.

snapped on the paint can and started pouring. Didn't overflow the tray. easy clean up...worth buying.

Waste of money. Doesn’t fit the 1 gallon paint cans. When I finally managed to get it on, it came off just as I was pouring the paint. Very hard to use I wouldn’t bother. Just buy the cheap ones you see at the hardware store in the paint department.
