I got this USB stereo camera module for some DIY robotics experiments in vision only navigation. The global shutter and 60FPS at 1200P resolution give me clear and low-latency images, which is crucial when relying on real-time vision for navigation. The dual-lens config provides stereo depth perception, allowing me to gauge distances and detect obstacles with decent accuracy. The all in one dual lens mounted on a compact board makes it consistent between units if I use more than 1.I am using a Raspberry Pi 5 and it was easy to connect with USB. I started using it with Python to learn about basic depth tracking and simple SLAM algorithms. It is an affordable way to learn about robotic vision systems.Bottom Line: This stereo camera module offers an excellent balance of resolution, frame rate, and stereo depth capability for learning about robotics and DIY vision-based projects on low cost boards like the Raspberry Pi. This is an exciting field that is growing and has never been so accessible with dual camera boards such as this.

I was expecting a webcam. I have no idea what this is. It's full of sensitive electronics like a TINY motherboard but without any connections except a USB-C like charge port, that should be protected by the electro static packaging to keep it safe. It came hardly wrapped in a piece of bubble wrap. It's a module for something but it's not anything usable for the general public or anyone that isn't a hard core computer geek, builder, etc. There were no instructions. It's not something you can use with your desktop. I thought it was supposed to be a webcam. I am ignorant of how to use it and especially with no directions. I can't use it to tell you anything else. I'm very disappointed.THANK YOU AMAZON VINE PROGRAM!!!
