Question 1: How to set up the lock?
Answer: Connect the [Tuya smart] App to set up, you can download and install the App from the App Store (iOS) / Google Play (Android).
Question 2: Why other unregistered fingerprints can unlock the lock?
Answer: Before the first fingerprint is registered successfully, it is the experience mode, any fingerprint can unlock the lock in experience mode. Please check if the first fingerprint is registered successfully.
Question 3: Why my fingerprints cannot be registered successfully?
Answer: One fingerprint needs to be collected 5 times that will be registered successfully. So you should enter the same fingerprint 5 times instead of entering 5 different fingerprints when registering a fingerprint.

Temporary Code Unlock
When a friend needs to open the door, you can directly generate a temporary password in the APP and send it to your friend. Your friend can open the door by entering this password, so you don't need to go there in person.
Temporary password is valid for five minutes and will expire automatically after that.
RFID Unlock
With two complimentary RFID cards (13.56mhz), Max 100 cards in settings.
One card can be set on multiple locks.

Low Battery Reminder:When the battery is low, touching the fingerprint sensor will make the red light flash for 5 seconds and emit beeping sounds to remind you to recharge.

This is a pretty cool padlock. The fingerprint recognition is quite fast and I have had very few failed attempts. I like that this charges over USB-C and lasts for 12 months on standby. I love that the keypad lights up and that this is waterproof, too. Unfortunately, I can’t find any IP rating for its dust and water resistance, so just how waterproof is this? Who knows.Contrary to what another reviewer said, I didn’t need to provide a credit card number to an app to use this. However, it is unfortunate that it seems you cannot use this without a phone app. There’s no way to input codes or fingerprints without using the app. The app is fine, and uses Bluetooth to connect. But that also means it doesn’t hold the connection that long and I have to wake the padlock up again to reconnect it.Trying to add one of the included RFID keys didn’t work for me despite multiple attempts. Adding fingerprints was easy, though. Adding a second user? Not so much. The app requires that you “invite” them and then they have to create an account on their phone to be added to this lock. Great that they can have that option, but annoying that it's required. Can’t I just set it up for my whole family?The buttons are touchy and do activate (and beep) easily every time I carry this in a pocket.You could argue that this is more secure because everything has to be controlled through the app, but it’s also more frightening in the case of potentially being locked out if the app doesn’t get updated five years from now or you switch to a different brand of phone that doesn’t have this app.

I like that there are several ways to unlock this. The finger scan feature is the one I will be using the most but you can also use a code. These will be the most common way to unlock but you can also use a fob or the app itself. I like the option of a code because I find with my current lock, if my hands are dirty from yard work or for whatever reason, the fingerprint won’t work. It’s so irritating to have to go back in the house to wash my hands to open a lock! The code function works with easy to read numbers, the downside being that it only has 7 numbers to choose from and most of my favorite memorable codes have an 8 or 9 in them. That’s just a slight irritation though and the other versatilities of this lock make up for it. This is a reasonable price for a lock of this quality. Also the app is easy to download and use

I really enjoy using the recommended free app, in fact I always check for app compatibility before ordering smart devices. Set up was easy. This is a heavy, secure and well made lock. One downside is that it doesn’t have an option to mute in the app like my other fingerprint smart devices. It also has a relatively short shackle which limits its usefulness.

I am a member of Planet Fitness and if you use their lockers you must bring your own lock. I love this lock because I can open with my finger and not fiddle with a combination.Easy to use, serves the purpose intended, at a great priceWhat’s not to like

The instructions that come with the padlock are not accurate. When scanning the QR code, the Tuya smart app pops up, and then you must add the device.From there, click on the lock, and then you can set up the lock with both a fingerprint and a code.Pairing the lock to your phone requires you to push the center button on the lock to wake it up.To set up the biometrics, click on "Member Management" and then click on "Me" (I already had devices on Tuya). You can click the green circle from there to add the passcode and fingerprint. I had to keep waking up the lock to set it up.Here is what I don't know.1. I'm a swimmer, so how will the fingerprint work after swimming? The keycode numbers are large enough that opening the lock that way would be easy.2. What happens if the lock loses its power? Is there a low battery warning? The product info states 12 months, but I have not experienced this yet.I also wonder about the hardness/strength of the shackle. It's on par with the lock I currently use.The lock comes with two Key Fob cards that also unlock the device. You add these the same way you add the code and biometrics.Overall, I love this concept. Some locks I have used are more challenging to read (older and need reading glasses). These numbers are large and easy to read, and the biometric feature is a convenient way to unlock them.This would also be a good lock for younger kids who need to lock up their stuff when going to practice.

Looks like a nice lock, but required a credit card number in app to set up lock. I will not provide a credit card number to do this and have requested a return.
