I have no problem with the pertronix brand but item arrived without manual and all advance springs and limiters had to order them from summit

I bought this distributor 3 years ago for my F100 and it has worked flawlessly since then. Cranks fast and idles smooth and quiet. Very nice product. Shopping for another one for my Galaxie.

never got to install it, upon measuring the length of the new distributor vs the stock one, the distributor would have been in the way of using the stock air cleaner.

I bought this distributor for my 67 F250 with the 352 FE. Originally i heard great things about pertronix, however i am thoroughly dissappionted in the customer service / warranty process. Keep in mind i have had 2 additional mechanics tell me, that my issue is that it is not getting consistent spark and my distributor is faulty.I installed this and after maybe 40 miles it started to backfire and stall and not start again. Left me stuck at stop lights blocking traffic as my truck would not start. I have tested the coil and the rest of the ignition system. I took the cap off the distributor and their were metal shavings attached to the magnet underneath the rotor. In addition to this there was also oil splatter underneath the cap. Both of these issues should not happen in a distributor. I contacted Jorge who handles warranty for Pertronix. He gave me an extreme run around talking to me like i dont know what i am talking about. After i finally spoke with another rep. They gave me an return authorization number. They finally said they would take a look at it if i sent it in. 2.5 weeks later when it was supposed to be 1-2 weeks. They call and say they bench tested it and seems to be operating fine. I asked if you could explain how metal shavings could get in there. My only thought is a bearing is shot. After i argued with him about this product being faulty, which it is. Metal shavings and oil dont just happen under normal use. Jorge refused to replace it/rebuild it or issue a refund. Do not buy pertronix products. Now that i have given them $250 i am told to pound sand. So long story short i am in the search for a different distributor that will not be pertronix.

Ouch on the price - BUT, a really high quality product. Took out the points n all that jazz on my '70 Monterey. It took a little doing to figure out which one was the right replacement for the Ford 6.2L 390 V8, but this did the trick. I threw in a new coil too. When I adjusted the timing later, it didn't even vibrate in my hand even a little bit. The only ongoing issue is the height makes the wires make some contact with the air intake. I might be able to add s spacer, but then I'd have to modify how the pre-heater is oriented and I do like everything with as OE a look as possible.But hey, to not have do deal with points n such, well worth the money. Go to their website, download the full catalog and then READ CAREFULLY, including footnotes. They hide some relevant information in there! Once you find the right one, come back here and get it (well, whichever one if the right one for you - I would have loved one of the stock look ones, would have preferred it actually, but this is what fit my application and it's still darn pretty, and ...it works!)

the distributor is better than I expected. it's a bit pricey but well worth the money. would be nice to know exactly what kind of cap and rotor I'll need for the next tune up but should be easy to figure out. the two wire hook up was nice
