This product was brand new w an unopened hardware bag. The “black folding chair” feature was too complicated not something to look forward too. BUT I got a new polywood brand piece for almost 1/2 the cost. I feel it’s as comfortable and durable as any other polywood brandfurniture. Very happy w this purchaseUpdate: got a second “used - very good” for $143.50 (currently $239 at polywood site) and it has to be brand new. Bag of hardware was not opened. I’m addicted to these deals!“Lime polywood foldable, used w missing fastness/hardware”: the description was kinda accurate. It was missing 2 screws as described. But there was plus and minus. The minus was the pre-set slats on the seat was obviously off. But I was able to reset/align them w a Philips head. The plus was that the product was obviously brand new. I bought this from Amazon resale for $128. Polywood lists it for $269. Bought the ss fasteners for $8. So w a little elbow grease and hunt for proper parts, I saved $133…. Good buy:). Can’t take stars off cause I saved so much

Over the last 5 years, we have bought 4 Polywood Adirondack chairs for our back yard. At first, we couldn't justify spending $200 + for an outdoor chair but now we can. These chairs are made with composite Polywood material and provides UV protection. There is minimal assembly required. After 5 years exposed the backyard, our chairs still look great. At first, we bought them because they were foldable and we would be able to store them away from the elements but honestly, where we live in So. California, near the coast, there is no need. We brought two of our chairs to our vacation home in the desert area and they are holding up well there in the 100 degree heat. They don't have to be stored in windy weather because they're pretty heavy.Of all the patio furniture we've bought over the years, these Polywood Adirondack chairs are the best investment we've ever made!

There's nothing like a nice comfy Adirondack Chair in your yard, especially with the type of view we're more than fortunate enough to have. We went on a mission to find quality chairs, which wouldn't be difficult to put together, were well made, and would stand up to the hot, humid sun in Florida. Reading review after review, some chairs appeared nice enough, until you read how difficult and time consuming they were to put together. The reviews for these chairs from Polywood, were uniformly excellent. Since we're not exactly handy, easy to put together was important. So we took the plunge and ordered two. They came today and to say we're VERY pleased is an understatement. They are for the most part, already put together. All you have to do is put them in the right position, install two Polywood pieces and and a bolt on each arm, tighten and enjoy. It took two of us no more than 5 minutes per chair. It simply can't get any simpler. These chairs are foldable, but you'd have to do in reverse what you did to put them together, so not likely something we'd do very often anyway. We love the vibrant color and Polywood says the chairs are weatherproof, won't splinter, crack, chip, peel, or rot when exposed to the elements. They may not be the least expensive Adirondack chairs you can buy and they're certainly not the most expensive either. For us, they were the quality we wanted, at a reasonable price, incredibly easy to put together and should last the test of time. It doesn't get better than this, no it doesn't!

I ordered 6 of these chairs in black for my front porch and chose this particular chair because of the recycled material and it stated it folded, so I am disappointed that it doesn't easily fold (to fold you would have to remove 2 plastic pins and 2 bolts on each side, then reassemble which I don't think anyone would do to take this chair somewhere for an afternoon). I guess the folding feature would be used if you were to move, but that would be about it. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble each chair from their boxes, with a rubber mallet and wrench of my tools and the little allen wrench provided. There is some flexibility in the chairs, but I believe it is just that type of material, it is the same type as my porch floor and it also was before building the porch, but has been extremely durable. They are also a bit on the small side, as we have bigger people in my family, but overall they are pretty nice, just wish they were a couple inches taller and maybe an inch wider, which some other brands are. My seven year old daughter sat in one, and it fit her comfortably, I am 5ft 9 and thought the seat and backrest could have been longer. I like that this model does not show the screws as much as some other brands of chairs, these are painted black, and often inserted from the back so you don't see at all. They are also pretty heavy, which in my mind is a good thing, as we are on a hill and with them being so low to the ground, hopefully they won't blow off. For the price, I would recommend. They look really really nice, looking forward to using them over the years.

These are nice. Arrived well packed with all parts, good instructions, and 90% assembled. Tolerances are good and material is high quality. Comfortable, good color, functional design. This is a somewhat smaller, lighter and also semi-portable verison of chairs sometimes used for busy recreation areas. It's a good medium-duty chair you can leave in place or fold if you need to. I wouldn't buy planning to fold and unfold one or more all the time or carry around in the car--best for leaving set up at camp, pool, porch: safe bet a set of these will last a long time and require almost zero maintenance. The price is in the ballpark. Easy enough for most sensible adults to avoid, but note that there is the potential for a pinch or smashed finger during assembly.
