I watched a youtube video on using this. It didn't look too hard. But, my results were awful. The first problem was that I couldn't check the fit because my windshield has black dots around the edges, which is where the damage was.The second problem was that the divot and crack look as bad as they were before I started. It worked great on that guys video, but I am a klutz of a handy-man.

This worked at repairing the small crack in my windshield, which the third photo shows clearly. The crack was due to a rock that hit my window on the freeway and it had not started to spread. The kit came with what is seen here, with the exception that the small transparent plastic sheets to cover the site once the repair has been fixed are inside the instructions booklet. The instructions are clear and complete, and there is enough product to make multiple repairs. In terms of repair, I followed the instructions and had my small windshield crack repaired quickly. After covering the repair site with one of the included plastic sheets and moving the car into direct sunlight, it took only about 10 minutes for the product to cure. This repair was great and today I don't even see the repair from inside the car, and I rarely even think about the repair. For small chips, I highly recommend this product. Larger repairs might require something different.I also used this to repair a larger crack in my niece's car windshield. Her's was a radiating star pattern crack between the size of a nickel and quarter. I suspect the suction was just not strong enough to pull the resin into all of the cracks, so while it filled and repaired the main crack site, it did not radiate out to the smaller cracks as much as I would have liked. Realistically, this may have been due to my inexperience with using the product, and I would still recommend trying it for the price.

I have a 2013 Sentra, which unfortunately got a few dings in the window when a road crew was doing work and my car was parked across the street.. I got two chips in my windshield..The first chip I saw immediately, i talked to the foremen who offered to pay for the repairs,, Safelight charged 125 dollars to repair the chip.. It was fixed but the damage could still be seen slightly.. Distressed about the fact that my windshield was damaged and have a visible mark on it.. I was agitated.. Safelight said to replace my wind shield it would be almost 480 dollars..As I contemplated paying the cost, I noticed something which has skipped my vision.. another chip in my windshield.. This time it was on the passages side but was really obvious, how I missed it escapes me but I did.. Not wanting to pay another 125 dollars for a chip fix from safelight, I searched for alternate methods..I saw this product for 13 dollars.. and figured I'd give it a try, worst comes to worst I'll have to replace the windshild anyway..I get the product and watch the video which can be found on Youtube or on another one of the same products site,, I followed the very easy steps and after about 15 minutes and scraping away the excess resin, I was shocked to see the repair was almost as good as the 125 dollar one from safelight.. the mark is nearly identical to the one left behind by Safelight, maybe even better as the Safelight repaid had a dimple which you could feel if you run your finger over, the repair from this product is smoothI can't comment on whether or not the repair will hold up over time, which I'm sure the repair from safelight will,, but look, and feel it's almost identical.. I'm glad I paid the 13 rather then 450+ dollars for a new windshield. If you have a small chip I'd fully recommend this product as it prevented me from making a massive purchase when I didn't want too..

Great kit for the price. Comes with what you need for average household, Worked great on two simple chips in one afternoon, on two different vehicles that both got chipped in the last week. I'm in the mountain west USA, and these are the kind of chip I like to forget about and then months later (after a winter of freeze-thaw cycles) realize there's a giant crack spreading across my windshield. This is definitely the way to go. $12 on this kit and under 30 minutes of my time. Vs driving it to a repair shop for $35-$60 (for one simple chip repair) and waiting 30-45 minutes.SKILL REQUIRED - I consider myself somewhat handy with tools and machines, but by no means do I have a workshop or anything. I know which way to turn a wrench, how to clean a p-trap under my sink, and I can follow good instructions. I found this very easy to do; much easier than I expected.INSTRUCTION QUALITY - Written in clear English. I like to laugh at the imperfect (Chinese?) translations of most products, but didn't notice any. EASY to read. I read it all the way through before starting, then during install only had to glance at the handy highlighted sections to remind me the order of the steps.TIME REQUIRED - The whole process for two vehicles with small chips took about 45 minutes from when I opened the package and started to read the instructions. My next repair would take only about 20 minutes, which counts the steps of waiting for 5 minutes, then waiting for 10 minutes.KIT INCLUDES - Everything you really need. I also used my own (optional) heat gun, but a warm blow-dryer would probably work better with less risk of extending cracks because of thermal expansion.QUALITY - The repair is sturdy and smooth, and I'm confident it will prevent further cracking and spreading. For an at-home kit, this one deserves full marks. I probably could have slightly better visual results by going to a professional shop (duh?) and having someone do it who has done this 100 times. The two chips I did are still slightly visible in the center, but even the ones that I got repaired last year at a glass place are still slightly visible. Honestly, in this area it's hard to compare apples to apples, so-to-speak.I probably should have taken before/after photos, but just "after" photos don't do much justice.I already bought another to have on hand. Definitely worth it.
