I do a lot of woodworking for my house, and it is hard to gauge the depth of the blade so I sometimes have to make more passes on my wood than I would prefer. This makes it so simple and precise on the depth of cuts I make on my pieces that I am not sure why I never got one of these before. Highly recommend it as this can be used with Routers, Miter Saws, and Table saws.

The unfortunate thing is there is only a metric scale, but that's not enough for me to really be down on this one. It's made well, and the finish is pretty decent. Regarding the metric-only scale, frankly I see this more as a way to transfer a height to a router table or table saw from a physical object like a reference piece, complimentary cut, or gauge bars - no misreads or guess work. It almost doesn't need a scale.

I do wish import retailers would at least offer imperial measurement tools however. This gauge only has metric marking so you can use the to match the height if you have a setup block or something. Other than that, it works ok.

Since I prefer working in metric over imperial units, this little gauge was perfect for my needs. I tested it on my jobsite table saw and it was pretty accurate despite my saw not being very dialed in. Since the the increments on the gauge are fairly thin, they helped prevent ambiguity on where the straight edge should line up. To setup, I adjusted the bar part of the gauge to the very top of my saw blade until it just barely made contact with the teeth.First I tested 5.0mm (ran a piece of plywood through saw several times) and then measured the channel with my calipers. I measured the depth at 4.92mm, which is extremely close to perfect. Next I tested at 10mm and got 10.30mm. Not too bad!Very pleased so far with this handy gadget.

This is a simple but sweet little tool.Well made, easy to read markings, nice materials including a well manufactured brass tightening knobs, feels high quality, and is a nice simple way to get your saw blade height.

The construction is quite good. If centimeters is your thing, this is perfect. If you are an imperial person as myself, not so good. I will use my calipers to set the gage. Other than the scale issue I like this gage and will be using it.

This is an effective tool for gauging heights or depths when using a table saw or router. It's well-machined, has a nice finish, and the knurled thumbscrew allows for easy adjustment, with little to no play in the height/depth measurement once it's locked down. There are a couple of things that I would have changed in the design of this tool, given the chance:1. The tool currently only supports measurement in cm/mm. The addition of SAE measurement scales would be welcome, possibly on the opposite side of the tool.2. The scale numbers are too tiny. I have to use my reading glasses (yes, I'm old) to see them clearly.
