Very impressive for the purchase price. I've been able to read IDE, EIDE and SATA drives without a problem. One thing to note is that you don't need an external power supply to power the non-SATA hard drives. The adapter supplies that power using a small pigtail (MOLEX) connector harness. So far I've tried it on Windows 7, 10 and 11 without a problem. I have an old XP laptop that I will try next.

Wow! I usually don’t review anything, but this product is outstanding, it converts all HD physical and logical connections so you can see, remove, copy, delete, etc. in an USB port in your pc or mobile. I’m very happy with it! I only hope it last for a long time.

I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I’ve had a use for this for a very long time but never knew it was a thing. Accidentally ran into this looking for something else. This does exactly what it says it will do very happy with purchase. Quick ship no problems.

work surprising well I downloaded jpg files from 5 Hard drives I had around the house and took less then a hour.. so nice to have all the photos from the old computers again and all in 1 spot now.. about the only thing I found that it said that you can down load from 3 hard drives at once.. but all 3 hook ups are different so as the case with me I could only do 1 at the time... but being as fast as it was it didn't matter..

Ok, so full disclosure I've bought 3 of these before this and not even one of those 3 worked. This one did. Obviously it's a 3 piece set, the power cord, the link cable, and the transfer interface itself. It's super easy to plug I'm and use, it can be chucked directly into a drawer and stowed away. The device itself has no storage capabilities it requires an SSD/HDD and obviously the SSD/HDD makes it's own noise (or lack thereof for SSD). Device itself is perfect at moving data, the lag I "suffered" came only from my HDD.

I had five old computers, ranging in age from 10 to 25 years. They were my previous PCs. Somehow I believed I would be able to pull the data off of those old PCS at some future point in time, but I had no idea how I was going to do it. So I kept them around and kept them in air-conditioned environments, and they were a royal pain. As time went along, I had less and less hope that I would be able to figure out how to get the data off of those old hard disks.I recently saw an advertisement for a device that would connect to old hard drives and allow you to plug them into the USB on your computer and treat them just like they were a flash drive. The device was cheap enough that I decided to order one. Wonder of wonders!I had seven hard disks that I scavenged from those five computers. This device plugged into all seven of them, even though they used three different interface technologies. Two of them were beyond rescue, but the other five came up just fine. I was able to recover a lot of data, including many old photographs I had taken over the past 25 years, like pictures of my kids when they were growing up. I am excited to get these files back and to finally get rid of these old computers. If you need data from old hard drives, I highly recommend this!

This item is so simple that it seems obvious. It's very easy and quick to use for things like testing hard disks, and quickly examining their contents. It works better than my HDD USB dock, which doesn't seem to let drive diagnostics fully examine the drive. Overall, a very useful piece of kit.

The product connected with some old internal and external hard disks with no problem at all. Didn’t need to load any special software to access the drives (Windows 11). Very happy. Amazon Prime also performed well: I ordered the item in the morning and received it by 7pm the same day.
