I bought this unit for pulling a camper. It worked fine for about 6 months then began to malfunction.For example It would sometimes say go left but the screen would show turn right. Then the screen started acting up. It would go black but still give voice commands.I contacted customer support and the person was very rude. He would not give me time to explain exactly what the problem was. He kept cutting me off. Then he instructed me to go through several steps. He was not good at giving me good instructions on where to go in the menu.He would argue with me implying the problem was because I was doing something wrong. Finally he admitted the unit was bad and would replace it.The next day I printed off the paperwork only to discover they were shipping me a refurbished unit. I call support again and this person was more polite. I told him I did not want a unit that had already had problems and been returned. His reply was the unit I was returning was a used unit. I said yes but it was new when I bought it. I could have bought a refurbished unit and paid less. I expected a new unit not one someone else had returned because it was defective.He said this was there policy . I asked about the warranty and he said it was only good for the duration of the one I bought. I did not get a new warranty .IThe only reason I gave it 2 stars was because when it was working I liked it.

I've owned GPS's since they first came out. I've used them on boats and cars for years and after using this on several 1000 mile trips with my RV I have to say this is the worst. Trying to get a route around NY city has taken hours, you have to save, back in - back out - Re- save and start over. I drop way points on 95 and it take me off on a side street. I've even set it to "car" mode so it's not thinking I'm 12'6 high and I still cannot get the course I want. DO NOT purchase unless you have a backup system to use.

You need something that takes in account of your weight and height when it routs you. Seems to do the job.

Wish they gave more voice announcements on the Garmin and showed more definition to the roads such as 2 lanes turning. Love the big screen and ease of use.
