I used a heat gun to shrink it around the metal bar I have.So far it fits nice,no telling how long the grip will hold since it's metal.Functions the way I wanted to.I got the black color and it looks good on the bar.Great quality,it's actually thicker than I expected.

Good heat shrink. I use this stuff for all kinds of things, not just fishing rod butts. I've used it on garden tool handles, pick axes, towels, tire irons, fishing net handles, gaffs, etc... it is fairly durable, and has a decent amount of grip. The best thing is, it will protect your hands from slipping. Overall, it's good stuff. It is a bit thin, but for most items it will be fine. This shrink, works pretty good from a medium heat gun. I use my lowest setting to better control the melting effect. Plus I don't want to over heat whatever handle I'm applying it to. As to longevity....no clue really. Most items I have put it on, are still looking fine. I'll update as needed.

Worked well. Fit and shrinkage good. Very east to use. Looks good. I once replaced hand coushions on crutches about every three months. They make them to fall apart. I used this to wrap crutch hand pads. Happy with it. I use crutch daily, and have for years. I suspect it will last the life of the crutches. Pass on to crutch users.

I bought to use for Winn grips on my fishing rods, but instead ended up using on dock sticks I built for my boat. They work great and shrink wright up to put a nice finish over the pvc pipes.

These are excellent for heavy use fishing rods. Grippy and non-slip with wet hands. You really need to order the right size according to the shrink rate of the tubing to assure good fit so know your metric system or use a conversion chart. Also, your wife’s hairdryer may not get the job done. Consider using a proper high temp heat gun to get a good solid shrink.

I bought this to cover the handles of my bypass loppers, as they were melted and sticky from the heat, and you can't buy new ones from Fiskars. This is a game changer, it not only looks good, but appears to be very durable, yet easy on the hands. Will be buying more in the future.

I tried both the 40 and 45mm as a hockey stick grip for my adult senior stick. I found the 40mm is best for an adult senior hockey stick, and 35 probably best for an intermediate stick, and a 30 may fit youth sticks. While the 45 is okay, it is a bit too thick and heavy and takes too much effort to shrink down, amlnd I felt the balance of the stick was off with 45mm. The grip material does lose some of its tackiness and non slip due to wear after 15 to 20 ice sessions, but given its price I think this is a good value, and much gentler on hockey gloves than tape. For better adhesion to prevent twisting when unleashing my sick clap bombs, I laid down some golf club grip tape first on the stick. Then, for my preference, used a very thin shoeslace spiraled under the grip before shrinking on the grip. Overall will buy again and again and can recommend for hockey.
