So much fast switching tooling bits. The tooling holders are a little stiff, but I'm sure they will loosen up a bit with use. I'm happy with these and would recommend to anyone with a mini metal lathe. Using them on a vevor 14" lathe.

Most definitely a step up from the tool post that came with my HF mini lathe. I am now able to use a much wider variety of bits. I really liked that it came with a gnarling wheel attachment, that been very fun to use.The only problem I have with this set is that if you have a very small lathe the 4˚ incline on the cutoff tool holder makes it impossible to get the blade to intersect the work properly.Otherwise, it is a good product.

I have a Proxxon mini lathe that I added this to. There were some challenges that were actually pretty easy to overcome. The first was that the cross slide mount was machined to accept a M5 bolt. I resolved this by using a M5 male to M6 male threaded adaptor. Then I added a M6 female to M8 male threaded sleeve. I used a M8 1-25 pitch bolt (the M5 and M6 fittings are 1.0 pitch as a general rule) and added a M8 female to M10 male threaded sleeve. This sleeve also acts as a bushing to fill the gap of the old M10 bolt once your new M8 bolt goes through it. I added a couple more to continue the bushing aspect. This assembly works great but I did have to add a small piece of M6 rod into the gap in the M6 threaded sleeve to prevent the M6 part of the adaptor from twisting up in the small gap before the M8 bolt face engages it.This may sound a bit complicated but it really is quite simple and saves you trying to retap the original stud size. All the parts are readily available on Amazon and are not expensive. The other concern that I had was that the height of the new tool post would be too high to properly align the cutters. This turned out not to be an issue as the tool post fits exactly over the cross slide mount and the individual took mounts can be easily adjusted to a negative height position by just turning the height adjustment knob on each tool mount. The tool mounts clear the cross slide mount area with the new tool post with no problem. If your mini lathe has a smaller than M10 stud, then this will perhaps give you an idea how to go about easily adapting the mounting. The wedge mount works great and the tool mounts are a very useful selection. I am pleased with this system.

This was nice, but was too small for my 8x30 lathe. Went one size up and am super happy.

0XA size, fits on my mini-lathe perfectly. So very pleased with the performance of the steel tool holders compared to the aluminum ones. No chatter - very solid mounting.Using various tools with these holders is a dream. Easy to position and gets the cut right where you want it.This is so much better than the OEM tool holder that came with my mini-lathe. I would have preferred it have come with this setup to begin with. So much nicer to use and the precision is so much greater. This is the way to go. Don't hesitate to buy this set as it is worth the money.

This tool changer is amazing. It’s high quality, precise, and quite rigid. After having used this, I can’t live without it. The tool post makes it quick and easy to swap between tools in a precise way. I highly recommend it as it saves time swapping tools and allows you to spend more time machining.

Great value upgrade for your import mini-lathe. Everything works great though I replaced the locking handle with the one that came with my lathe since it just comes with a nut. Luckily the threads matched up which was my one concern based on previous reviews I'd read. Only knock is that I would have liked to have had more of the 250-001 holders and less of the specialty ones (like the knurling one.)Lock is positive and solid and the height adjustment on the individual tool holders holds well.

Works well, Does what's expected ,but probably should have gotten the AXA sized QCTP. Not much of an issue to adapt to the cross slide

Very pleasantly surprised. I had bought that aluminum toolpost (you all know the one if you're looking at this product) and it worked okay, but I noticed a lot of flex when cutting even... aluminum. I figured it was my saddle gibs not being tight enough, but after tuning up the lathe, I realized it could only really be the toolpost. I even tried tightening all of the gibs.Since I got this toolpost that you're now on the product page of, I've tried heavy cuts in aluminum with a damn near mirror finish. I can even take on steel reliably now! I'm mostly limited by the stall torque of my lathe, not the rigidity, at this point. I'm very impressed. And this is a standard size, so you don't need to buy the whole damn set if you need another toolholder. Just go on Littlemachineshop.com and find the one you need.EDIT: I have since determined that the cutoff tool holder in this set is not suitable for 7" swing lathes like the Harbor Freight mini lathe. However, LittleMachineShop sells one that holds the tool level rather than angled upward. Still an extremely good set for a good price here though.
