ABOUT US
In 2002, Minus33 was created by textile engineers from L. W. Packard & Co. Inc. L. W. Packard has been involved in just about every aspect of the wool industry, and a proud family-owned business since 1916. In 1995, L.W. Packard was selected by Textile World magazine as one of the top ten textile plants in the world.
With so much of our family history rooted in the wool industry, combined with our genuine passion for the outdoors, it only made sense for Minus33 to emerge as a merino wool clothing brand. Minus33 began as a snowmobile brand, and quickly expanded to other outdoor markets, such as hiking, skiing, and hunting due the versatility of our product offering.
WHY MERINO WOOL?
MOISTURE WICKING
Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.
INSULATES WHEN WET
Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.
UV PROTECTION
Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.
RENEWABLE
Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

I would say I have an average-to-small size head, and I'm unable to use this face cover as the face/eye hole hangs off my nose and lets way too much cold air into the cover.

This appears to be a quality product based on my usage of it recently (in Michigan winter). The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that it is fairly thin and is not thick/substantial to do more than keep wind off your face and neck. Coupled with a scarf and hat, it *does* do a great job of keeping wind from infiltrating.

It's wool, so it keeps you warm when it's wet, and it doesn't stink. Necessity for any cold-weather skiing! Has held up fine for 1/2 a season.

I bought this for myself hoping it would keep me warm while playing outside with my kids this winter. We got our first snow a few weeks ago and my face was kept warm!

This is for my wife. It does a great job of keeping her face warm. She has a very small head, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It's softness is amazing.

This was the perfect addition to my carry-on to visit a very cold area, as it added almost no weight & could be used to cover head/ face/ neck or just my head or neck. In near 0 deg. F windy weather the merino wool did a good job keeping my face/ head neck warm even when it got damp, and I was able to easily breathe thru the material.
