What can I say. It's a radio. Everything works pretty much as designed. On the up-side the sound quality is good; or at least as one would expect for the price. It also holds a full charge with little or no power drain if left on a shelf for weeks. On the down-side, the cheap thermometer (at least mine) is offset by 6°C/10°F. But who cares; I can add and subtract. Also, the power/volume knob feels a little flimsy, so there's that. Bottom line: its a good radio if you don't dwell on its minor faults. Go for it.

After living through hurricane Michael and not having power for six weeks, I wanted to be more prepared next time. This is a lightweight radio, power bank, and flashlight. I live that you can either charge it through USB or use the attached solar panel. It also had a hand crank for emergencies. The light is bright and the radio is clear.

I was able to use it right out the box as it came charged up. I love the ability to charge it by sunlight which will come in handy if no power is available to charge it. Radio functions very well with a clear signal. I for sure see the value here for emergency use. The size is very compact and radio itself is very light yet sturdy. This is amazing value for the money paid. Got this for emergency use and it has a built in flashlight which is great as it will come in handy if power goes out.

Perfect for survivalist enthusiasts, this has a different function on every side. There’s a battery indicator light to show you how much charge it has. The radio is clear, loud, and the compass/temperature readers are accurate. All three modes on the torch and reading light shine brightly. The SOS siren can be heard from a good distance. Solar charging works. The top charges but only in direct sunlight. I tried it at home with the window open and the charging indicator was able to light up. In terms of manual charging, the battery level was at 3 and after cranking it for about 10 minutes, 1000 times (red charging light on), it still did not increase a level. When plugged in to charge, the third light flashed as charging. When unplugged a second later, all 4 lights were blue then instantly reverted back to 3 steady lights. A great resource to have. The solar charging is less tiring and better to utilize in emergency situations. The hand crank is exhausting and on its own would not provide enough power to maintain the device.

I got this last minute for a camping trip as this checked everybox I had.. emergency lights, emergency radio with crank battery charging and Flash light. It is not expensive so my expectations were accordingly low. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this is built. The radio has AM, FM and Wideband which is perfect. The volume is very loud which I suppose most people will not need when they are camping but if you are working in a garage or something, it is very loud. The hand crank works and it is not a gimmick. The charge indicator displays how much power there is left and cranking it increased the power. The features I did not expect and which won me over were Solar charging which just works, reading light, flash light that hs 3 patterns for illumination and bright light and a SOS emergency button. I tested the emergency button and it was LOUD. Now 2 other very cool things - a temperature guage and a compass. I mean what else can they cram into this? I would highly recommend this product for everyone.

This device has already been a game changer. We actually lost power the other day in the house for several hours due to a storm. I pulled out this device and started to explain to my kids what it was. They were impressed that it had a very bright light. They were even more impressed with the reading lamp. Once I told them it was a radio as well, they questioned me. Radio? I said yes, watch this. I turned on the radio and started playing music and all of their jaws dropped! I said the reason we can play this is because the radio frequency and the built in antenna. It’s running in the built in battery that doesn’t require power, has a crank handle to generate more power if needed, AND, even has charging ports for our cell phone! They loved it. They were actually arguing on who could use it next as they all wanted to play with it. In addition to all those awesome features, it also had. Compass, rechargeable solar panel that charges the lamp, durable carrying strap, and a very loud SOS siren. This device is the ultimate device for camping, or just to have around the house in case of emergencies. Would highly recommend this product to everyone!
