Just what I needed for threading internal threads

I used the inserts to machine threads on a piece of cold rolled steel bar. Normally the finish after machining cold rolled steeI is not the greatest, but in this case the threads looked really good when they were done. I don't know how the insert will stand up over time or if they could be used on tougher materials, but they are working very well for me.

Look good, have yet to try out.Only problem was UPS left the order at my mailbox- 1/2 a mile away on a main road and the dirt road to the house was just wet and a little muddy. Must have been a substitute driver because our regular would not have done that.
