My granddaughter who is five and is ambidextrous so she writes with her left and right hand. I have bought her several different types of pencil grips to help her learn how to write correctly. She absolutely prefers this one. She loves it and says it's like riding with a water gun. I definitely give this product five stars

Most pencils are too small. You have to find pencils that are thicker, like Dixon No.2 HB. I'm a teacher.

As a Kindergarten Teacher, these are the best pencil grippers I’ve ever had…and I’ve tried MANY!!! Puts each of the 5 fingers in the correct position!

One of my kids is a lefty so we've been having issues with holding the pencil so it doesn't hurt. This one may work. It seems to be helping so far. We've tried a few other grips but those didn't help. The trigger to grab seems to be the way that he holds his pencil but this makes him move his hand closer to the end of the pencil instead of holding it very high.
