I just got this today to use on my electric trike. There is a battery in the remote but I had to put two AAA cells in the main unit. The main unit was kind of difficult to get open to install the batteries. But with some prying with a flat screw driver it finally came open. I also checked the remote to see how difficult it would be to replace that battery. It was even more difficult to pry open and when it did finally pop open the battery and circuit board from inside flew out. So watch out for that. It was fairly easy to put it all back together. And it works fine. The controls are pretty easy to understand and the alarm is quite loud. The remote has good range. It activated the alarm from at least 40 feet away. The alarm will sound off with just a little movement of the trike. However the sensitivity can be adjusted to avoid false alarms I plan to us this when my trike is parked outside of our travel trailer overnight when we are out camping. So adjusting the sensitivity may be necessary when it is windy over night.

I could not have found a better pick for my golf cart alarm, here's why; I wanted something not only easy to use but easy to setup as well, but most importantly scare the bejesus out of someone trying to steal it. This alarm does all of the above. All you have to do is insert two triple A batteries and push the button on the remote to activate. I hid the alarm module under on of the cup holders on the dashboard with some Velcro (I used the heavy duty type Velcro since the air in Florida is humid. When you begin to walk away from the cart, all you do is simply press the remote and it gives an audible chirp that it is activated and ready to shriek if the cart is jarred. I like this so much I'm going to purchase one for my E-bike.

My electric bike feels safe from theft now! I have a lock on my e-bike, but for a quick moment away from my bike, it isn’t convenient to use it. This alarm engages in a millisecond with the push of a button and screams when my bike is moved. It’s so sensitive, high winds moving my bike will cause the alarm to sound! Love this devise. I used zip strips to install the motion sensor under my bike seat and I tuck the remote behind my phone holder, out of sight, so it is always with the bike. Great e-bike accessory!

Before receiving this alarm I really wanted to like it. I travel in my motorhome with two bikes attached and there is always a worry that somebody with a good bolt cutter will quickly steal the bikes. So, this vibration/movement activated device should be a good overall solution considering it’s low price, effective alarm (113dB), and overall ease of use. Well, as they say, “two out of three ain’t bad” and that sums up this device. The price is good and it’s sufficiently loud but it’s just too complicated in its use. The remote has 4 buttons with icons only, each button has different beeps and the various settings require careful reading of the user guide. My home alarm is much simpler than this device. Anyway, I worry about hitting the wrong key and end up with me thinking it’s armed when it isn’t. Maybe I will become a better user with actual experience. I think the device could be improved by simplifying it to the point that the user just clicks an arm or disarm button. Maybe others will appreciate a bunch of sensitivity levels and the possibility of using it as a doorbell or panic alarm but I just want it to reliably work when the bolt cutter guy arrives. Just like we all want the spare tire to be all aired up when needed or my parachute to work because I couldn’t pull the wrong switch. Also, the alarm needs an attachment loop of some kind rather than using tape to attach it. Ok, ok, it’s not that bad and I hope it performs its basic function well, prevents a theft and I eat my words because I love it. I will update this review if warranted.

This is a loud "anti-theft" alarm system. Nothing will stop a determined thief other than an insurance policy (to get your money back) for the thing that you choose to place this on. It's a stick alarm that sounds based off vibration. Having used a few different types of these, it is nice that you can adjust the sensitivity, although the instructions are slighty complicated, but reasonable enough to figure out. You can put this in an inconspicuous place, but at the end of the day, it's still stuck on via tape, if you choose to use their equipment. It runs off batteries which has pros and cons, i.e. if the batteries run out it won't sound off, if the thief finds it they just pull it off and smash it, but it is loud. Or you can choose to put it somewhere obvious, but then you run the risks stated above. 110 decibels is roughly the equivalent to a live rock concert, so yes this is loud and will turn heads, but unfortunately in this day and age (at least in my experience) when a car alarm goes off typically nothing happens, often times it's because someone if trying to find their car (or at least that's what I personally tell myself). I think it would however deter the opportunistic thief, especially if you can't readily see it. The other problem with it being hidden well is that when the batteries go out, it can be a pain to change, because you have to reach somewhere that may or may not be easily accessible. Really the best thing that you are considering putting this on is some type of an insurance policy if possible. All that being said, I still use these, and would recommend this as it's a decent value for the money and does make an uncomfortably loud sound if vibrations are detected when it's armed. They claim a battery life of roughly one year with somewhat frequent use, and if you get anywhere near that I'd say that's pretty impressive. It's not waterproof by any means (says so in the manual), and you're encouraged to stick it onto some plastic part, rather than metal for the possibility that it can weaken the radio frequency from clicker.
