TODAY'S PROJECTI'm a DIYer and used this adapter today on my 6" diameter, 9" deep concrete core drill bit to drill through a 5" deep solid concrete slab. This adapter screwed on easily to the threaded core bit, snapped in easily into the SDS Plus chuck, and worked perfectly. Unthreading it afterward required some channel locks since it was in so tight.STORAGE CONTAINERThe strong plastic case it comes in is really neat too - it screws apart and back together so the adapter will be well protected and easy to identify later.VALUEI can't imagine how this could be any better, and it's less than half the price of the one made by the drill bit's company. I bet you could put some moisture absorbing stuff in the container to help prevent corrosion.NO THREADS FOR A GUIDE BITOne note: this does not have a hole for screwing in a guide bit. If you try to core drill concrete with this, the bit will walk all over and never bite into where you want the hole. To solve this, you either have to use a different adapter with a guide bit hole to get it started, or you can make your own guide from a piece of wood: use a jigsaw to cut a hole in the wood the size of your core bit, and stand on that wood while you drill. That will hold the core bit perfectly in position instead of letting it jump around. Once you get about 1/2" into the concrete, you can get rid of the wood guide.

It worked to hook my 1/2" drill to a masonry coring bit using the 5/8-11 thread. I would also think this would work for other tools that are used on common die grinders. It was easy to install, and easy to remove. Overall would recommend. It has a black coating that did not chip or peel during my testing.
