The V-bands flanges are perfect but the clamp at least this one was poor quality I tightened tack welded what need to then I tried removing clamp and it was stuck like the threads where crossed Therese’s so I forced it off to finish full welds but now the clamp is useless to me

Nicely made 5" stainless v-band clamp with weldable stainless flanges. The male and female interlocking flanges seal well, and the tolerance allows some difference in expansion while still aligning the pipes. This takes some of the shear alignment stress off the band clamp and puts it on the interlocking lips. I prefer this style for hotter areas, closer to the engine or turbo. The band itself holds the flanges tight, although this style requires the nut to be fully removed in order to release the flanges. Something this size is good for a truck stack or serious race car.
