Don't buy. Never expanded to the full size. I waited 3 days. Has to be velcroed on and the stuff they give you is so twisted up it is almost unusable. Because it never expanded there are gaps all around the edges. I pulled on the foam and did get it to expand a bit more. I will use this until my new one from another company gets here. Not worth trying to send it back.

the expanding memory foam only expanded to a depth of 2 inches at best.

I chose this product because I needed just one, and not the two each offered by other brands. The failure mode in all insulators is the foil side, which deteriorates over time, lasing just a few years at best. I was surprised and disappointed that the insulator cover and foam came unassembled. When released from the vacuum packed plastic, the foam measured 15" x 13.5 (so not square), not the advertised 14x14. I ended up removing the foam from an old insulator, actually 14x14. The cover fit loosely. I chose this path rather than the hassle of returning. I do not recommend this brand and will not purchase again. Yes, disappointed.

So, for those who do not already know or haven't thought about this... Heat rises. And the cheap plastic covers on the vents on your roof do absolutely nothing to keep heat in. These are a solid block of insulation that fit perfectly into the roof vent space keeping heat in, cold air out, and making your camping experience just a tad bit more comfortable.
