I only got around to installing this in my small office area 2 weeks ago, this did absolutely nothing, not even muffle the noise a little bit, wish I had done it earlier because now I cannot return it. I'm so disappointed.

bought this to buff sounds from. my hvac unit closet. It was to thin to make a difference. Might work better on a wall maybe. I alternately used it for insulation in door trim. Does seem to do well at that.

I love it when things ordered are exactly what you had envisioned. These foam panels were actually used for a craft/collection project to keep things safe and secure. Worked perfectly!! Light, easy to use, charcoal black color. Smelled a little at first but aired out quickly. I thought they were a bit costly for foam.

Contrary to common perceptions, this product is meant to reduce "echo" & "standing waves" in a room.It's NOT sound "proofing" but sound "treatment".It will reduce some noise from passing from the room, or into the room.This paticular product is of decent quality, & does its intended task quite well.If this seller had the same product in 3" or 4" thickness I'd buy more.

I used these as replacement foam for a pelican gun case. They work fantastically for that purpose. Good support strength. Can't hear a thing making a sound in the case either....I do recall when receiving them, being a bit wary. They're absolutely vacuum packed. But, follow the directions and give them some time to recombobulate themselves and it's all good. They'll get there eventually. Just be patient.

This is your typical egg crate mattress padding masquerading as acoustic panels, and yes, they could certainly do some good dampening of sound, but I needed this as padding in a trunk for a delicate item. Works well! When I am finished protecting my trunk item I will use these panels for sound dampening, as I play in a band...

I got 8 of these black panels (2 packs of 4) to line my walk-in closet to use as a vocal recording booth. These panels arrived quickly and expanded to the full size (with nice, squared off corners) within an hour of unpacking them from the vacuum-sealed bag. They don't come with anything to attach them, and the tape squares I bought separately didn't stick to these at all (these panels fell off the wall in an hour while the tape squares are now permanently attached - not as advertised by the tape squares). I'm going to use some use tacky foam glue to attach posterboard strips to the backs of these panels and will then command strip the back of the posterboard strips to the drywall. I haven't done any vocal recording in the room yet since I'm still waiting for the green panels to arrive, but it seems pretty obvious the room is going to sound very "dead" with these fully installed.
