Fitted to my GFS XGP guitar body for a partscaster build (the GFS XGP Telecaster Deluxe bodies come with a Strat neck socket despite what it says on their web site) and the result is very good. You can't expect to just fit this and play, there's a bit of work to be done like filing the nut slots (need special files) and dressing the frets (also need special files). The wood is really, really nice; perfect, straight grain and the frets are pretty good too although the fret ends are a bit sharp and I had to dress down the 6th fret slightly (high) due to slight buzzing on the B&E strings but that was after I had set the action very low (0.8 - 0.6 mm at first fret and 2 - 1.6 mm at 17th fret). The truss rod worked perfectly on mine. This was MUCH better than the Mighty Mxxx neck that I bought 2 of and sent both back - one had a knot in it and the other had a bow that the truss rod could not take out.If I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars but given the value for money, I have no hesitation on the 5 star rating and would buy again. I love the satin finish but I do wish it had the normal Strat head shape though.

Great neck! Very straight length wise and across the frets. A few high frets and some rough ends, but nothing major for the overall deal and value received. The truss rod is smooth (smoother than my other two guitars). Saw a review that it wasn’t actually roasted maple. That might have been true for them, but I’m 99% certain the one I received is legit. First, it has the right smoky smell to it. Second, I’m new to dressing frets, so I might have nicked a spot or two. What was under the brown? More brown. I also gouged a bit into one spot inside a a tuning peg hole for science. Still brown. (For completeness, the saw dust was lighter in color, but the wood once I removed the saw dust was brown.) Great deal in my opinion. Can’t wait to poke some holes in it and mount it!Update: it’s been mounted for over two months now. I never update anything, but I love this. The more I play, the more I dig it. Plays well, sounds great, and I could be imagining it, but the sustain seems improved over the original Squire Affinity maple. Worth the price and the time to dress the frets.

For the price, a "Toasted" maple necks with stainless steel frets is right on the money. I expected to have to do some work on this, but the edges were very sharp angles making it uncomfortable to play and needed to be rounded over. This cracked and chipped the thin Matte clear coat on the fret board and when sanded, the wood underneath was lighter in color, hence the term "toasted" maple neck.Frets are stainless steel but ends are sharp and some frets needed reseating. Had to give it a full level/dress/crown/sand/polish. After all the work it is an amazing neck though.A better bet is to get the Leo Jaymze supreme ST neck. No work needed and the finish is thicker. Bit of a different look though.
