All winding rods are not the same! These are hexagonal as stated. Winding rods for my 2” faux wood blinds (from Lowes) had SQUARE Winding Rod. (This rod is the long rod inside the header!) check blinds prior to order. That said, ordered the correct part and install was a snap( literally). I will order more to have on hand in the event another “winding gear” wears out/ breaks.

I was not sure it would fit my old blinds of 10 years. I removed the mechanism and installed the new one without any problems. It’s working perfectly. I am very happy with it. I only needed 1 but I will keep the other as a spare.

Worked fine for my application. However, there is a a problem when installing on a right side actuator blind. The opening has a ridge that prevents installation. Once I remove the ridge with filing, it fit the blind fine. Otherwise, an inexpensive fix.
