I put these on my mower last summer. They worked great, allowing me to fold and unfold my handle as needed. My mower is stored, handle folded, outdoors under a protective awning through the winter. I just went to use my mower, and discovered the knob had fused (rusted) to the bolt. It could not be turned. I had to destroy the plastic part of the knob to get down to the underlying metal nut to be able to loosen it with a big wrench. If your mower will be subjected to any kind of weather, do not buy these. Although if I'd been alerted to the potential problem, I would have put lubricant on the bolt before storing. The ones the mower came with 4 years ago never rusted. They only needed replacing after my grandson borrowed the mower and lost them. This product is not up to snuff.

My craftsman mowers hinge joints broke off. These are way sturdier then the ones that were provided. I recommend replacing the originals anyway.
