This is a solid functional paint roller but I bought it to Use an extender to reach. Did not want to stay tight on the pole, the threads inside the handle just wouldn’t stay gripped. Every time I used it it kept coming loose. I’ve used the same extender pole with other paint rollers and had no problems so it had to be this one hat was the issue. If you’re just buying it to use by hand, it’s sturdy practical paint roller for the price.

For smaller rooms I prefer a 7” roller to paint with. The smaller frame is easier to maneuver around trim, windows and doors. This frame fading is heavier weight and the shaft/roller spacing is larger to prevent paint build up
