Food flies everywhere on the lowest speed. Itโs too powerful for what it is supposed to do. And it smells like the motor is burning. Wish Iโd used it before return time expired.

I bought this hand mixer to mix a bread I make with tahini on a weekly basis. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer but it is too heavy to pull out weekly. Overall, I like this mixer. I bought the black unit.Pros: Mixer is substantial but not overly heavy. It has good power even at the lowest speed...much better than my old (and cheap) mixer. The eject lever for the blades pulls easily, but here is where the con comes...Con: the lever to eject the blades is made of cheap plastic. While it is not hard to pull the lever, I do not think the unit will last very long because of this. Likewise, the silver band on the body of the mixer is also not real metal. In other words, the unit is cheap. It is also louder than my last mixer...none of these cons keep me from returning this mixer, but I also don't expect it to last all that long. If you happen to be giving a mixer as a gift (though I doubt many want to be gifted a mixer;)), maybe choose something different.
