There are several similar Whip lights available. Went with this one for one because they had a decent special sale price at the time and liked the spring base mount for better flexibility.We like the spiral look but didn't need anything super fancy because this was for the kids ATV.Pretty basic installation, however we used an inline switch rather than just directly to the battery.It came with hardly any paperwork/information about the product, though I have used several different brands over the years was familiar with whip lights.Packaging could be better to protect the cable connection end as it got a bit smashed in shipping, was not round like it should be too twist on so had to tweak it so it will connect/plug in correct. Which is why 4 stars.

Ordered this item and when installing only one of the lights would work - wiring issue. Wouldn't be so bad but you cannot contact the seller to see about replacement parts/assistance. Otherwise, I would've been satisfied with the product.

Installation was fairly straight forward, although it would have been nice if the spring base had notches flat notches to fit an adjustable wrench so you could apply counter pressure when tightening the mounting bolt. My whip lights have built in spring bases, but the spring bases allowed me to shift the flex away from the fixed spring in the whip to a base more easily replaced if it gets roughed up. I always gained a little more overall height on my whips. I especially appreciate that this spring base included a quick release mount compatible with my lights. Although they look a little different, they work perfectly together and further research leads me to believe these two mounts are interchangeable. Big score!!!!

Using thse with my 4ft led whips. Perfect fit for this type of mount. They aren't super springy even at 60mph. But they will give if needed. Really nice coating that is holding up well. Very pleased.

Universal Quick release compatible springs are the way to go. On any vehicle whip light it's a good idea to have these to protect them from snapping if they are hit.These attach to the brackets the same way the light itself does, the threaded bolt end is the same size. The top end is the quick release, which means you don't need the extra piece that comes with your light. The fit is mostly universal, I can tell you with certainty it would with YuWing and Ehaho brands that I'm currently using.The springs are stiff enough that they don't bounce around when you're driving on the road, but they have enough bend to protect the light from damage. I should mention that I have 3ft and 4ft lights. Anything longer may have more bend.Build quality seems good so far and the color (black) doesn't seem to be fading or chipping with use fo far.These are valuable adds to protect the more expensive light, definitely worth a little investment.

My husband likes having these springs and the flexibility they offer when he's using his side by side whip lights on trails. In the past, he has used whip lights without springs and the lights broke when they hit an overhead branch, but with these springs attached, the lights easily move upon contact, thus reducing damage to them. These springs were easy to install on the mounts, and then the whip lights easily attached to the quick coupler. So far, no complaints at all!
