Did I see that this was not made for an hdmi connection to my pc? No, but I got lucky (my new pc has 2 display output ports). The compact size rest easily on top of my pc case. I like that it doesn't get hot, and the metal case is sturdy! Configuring my dual touchscreen monitors was easy with WIN11 and NVIDIA Graphics application.

This worked great, and just the way I was hoping it would - 1DP in to 2 independent HDMI video streams. I have a new mini-PC that has a DP port and an HDMI port and now I can easily us it with this DP adapter to provide 3 screens worth of independent content - no mirroring here! I've picked up some used displays from Goodwill (large ones at ridiculously low prices) and am now enjoying more screens which makes my content creation and editing tasks MUCH easier. AND because I now have 3 HDMI outputs, I can even use some larger (used) HDMI TV's from Goodwill too!

The display port version on the PC supports this but not the greatest idea unless you have no choice. I am using this with a brand new BeeLink PC. I bought this so that I could leave my USB-C port free for other things. Unfortunately, both monitors connected to this splitter resets after a few seconds of logging in. That causes the window open on those monitors to reset to other monitors each time. Sometimes the 1 of the monitors will duplicate to the other instead of extend and causes you to have to reboot to completely fix it.

Everything needed is included with this solid splitter. The cables included are good quality and fit snuggly. There is no noticeable video degradation. Power from an NVR USB port is sufficient. Great to have cameras displayed in two rooms.

Works the way it’s supposed to. Allows for different views on different screens. The directions were a little off as it mentions an on/off button that does not exist. The directions were also not in the box with the item but on the Amazon page where the product was ordered from.

I could have saved a lot of money with a normal cable instead of a splitter, but since I got my setup working I felt it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning and buying a simple cable. No harm, no foul. I’m sure it works properly with the correct video card and not onboard video chipsets. I wish that was more clearly stated and not hidden in the fine print. It is what it is though, my fault for not reading every little bit before ordering. Thankfully I had a VGA out as well to use, so I am using this splitter, just not to split a signal. Using it I could only mirror.
