The product will work with new and old American plastic gas cans however it fits kind of tight with the course thread or kind of loose with the yellow threaded adapter. Comes with two adapters hasn’t leaked so far but would not recommend for heavy use. The nozzle itself will fit on existing gas caps. Saving Grace here is it has no flow regulator so it pours very fast even without fume extractor installed!For your blue-collar worker, it probably would not meet there standards .

The gasket threw me off a bit, but works good. Comes with a tank vent, but a very odd size so choose the drill bit carefully. Overall, I would keep looking a bit, but vastly superior to govt standards

I bought this and replaced two of my can spouts, and the next week I went to use one of the cans, I noticed that both yellow plastic rings that screw to can had cracked completely open. I most definitely will not be using or buying this again.
